About the Cover
The background is from the note mailed to Chicago Daily News columnist Mike Royko on September 6, 1972 and received on September 7th. It is colorized to approximate the yellow legal pad paper it was written on. Copies of the original, from the Royko FBI file, are in the Documents section of the book. The photos on the left margin are captioned with the various aliases the bomber used over the years. All of the news clippings are from 1972.
